Ryan Brown
Maine Public Education Manager

Ryan joins the GLAD team after serving as MassEquality’s Manager of Field Operations, where he worked across New England to achieve full equality for the LGBT community.  He began his political career as a canvasser for MassEquality during the height of the campaign to protect marriage equality in Massachusetts, and went on to work on marriage equality campaigns in Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. A native of upstate New York, Ryan moved to Massachusetts on a scholarship to study theatre at the prestigious Walnut Hill School in Natick. During a summer job canvassing door-to-door for Clean Water Action, Ryan discovered a passion for changing the world around him one door at a time. He now lives in Portland, Maine with his partner, Jerome, and their two greyhounds, Jack and Scarlet.
